What are the principal challenges we face in ensuring assemblies with impact? How can we shape emerging opportunities to bring the voice of citizens into climate governance?

KNOCA will be publishing an updated version of its report on emerging trends in climate assemblies in end June. In this event, our chair, Graham Smith, presented the main insights from the report.

We were joined by Erica Hope, Director of the Climate Governance Programme at the European Climate Foundation and Claudia Chwalisz, Founder and CEO of DemocracyNext to lead a discussion on the state of play for climate assemblies.

The 2023 version of the report can be found here. Also please download above an advance draft of our updated KNOCA Current Trends Report, which captures recent trends in climate groups and is enriched with an additional year of research. This report formed the basis for the discussions.
