New Workshop Series: Media Visibility of Democratic Innovations

Why do democratic innovations so often struggle to exist in the public imagination?
The non-profit Smarter Together is running a participatory research project on the media visibility of democratic innovations, with support from the King Beaudoin Foundation.
In this context, Smarter Together is organising 3 workshops (2 in-person in Brussels, the 3d is hybrid), bringing together communicators, public institutions, democratic innovation practitioners and journalists:
Workshop 1: Designing for visibility! Wednesday 3 June, 17:30–20:30 - in French
How can democratic innovations be designed from the start to produce relevant, understandable and shareable public content?
Workshop 2: Communication tools and tactics! Thursday 25 June, 17:30–20:30 - in English
How can we develop better narratives, tactics, formats and channels to make democratic innovations better known?
Workshop 3: From insights to action! Wednesday 1 July, 12:00–15:00 in English, hybrid
We will share findings, refine recommendations, discuss the next steps of the project, and identify initiatives that could benefit from hands-on support.
The workshops will be hosted at 21 rue de la Limite in Brussels. If you are interested, contact stephen@smarter-together.org.
